Editorial Policy
This policy explains how PriceRadar discovers, evaluates, ranks, and presents deals, and how we handle pricing, discounts, updates, and affiliate relationships.
Our Goal
PriceRadar aims to help users discover noteworthy deals and products from online retailers in a clear and easy-to-compare format. We aim to provide useful information that helps users make their own decisions before visiting a retailer.
How We Discover Deals
Deals may be discovered using automated systems that collect or process product, price, and discount information from retailers or data sources available to us. Some deals may also be manually reviewed or highlighted.
How We Evaluate Deals
We may use several signals when evaluating a deal, including the current price, available reference price, discount percentage, freshness of the price check, retailer, category, coupons or limited-time promotions, and the quality of available data.
Deal Strength
PriceRadar may use labels such as Good, Hot, or Extreme to help highlight deal or discount strength based on available data. These labels are internal discovery indicators and do not guarantee that a product is the best deal available in the market.
A deal meeting our current baseline deal criteria.
A deal generally showing stronger discount or value signals based on available data.
A deal showing a very high discount or strong signals under our current criteria.
How Deals Are Ranked
Deal ordering may be influenced by factors such as discount percentage, data freshness, category, user-selected filters, and search relevance. Potential affiliate commission should not, by itself, determine deal ranking.
Automated Data and Editorial Review
PriceRadar processes a significant amount of data automatically, so a product appearing on the website does not necessarily mean it has been individually reviewed by a person. Selected deals, pages, or content may be manually reviewed when appropriate.
Price Verification
Where available, we maintain information about when certain deals were last checked. However, a retailer may change a price or product availability after our last check and before a user visits the retailer.
Original Prices and Discounts
Discount percentages may be calculated using an original or reference price provided by the retailer or available data source. A reference price does not necessarily mean that the product was continuously or recently sold at that price.
Historical Pricing
We do not describe a price as an all-time low or make a similar historical pricing claim unless suitable data is available to support it. A high discount percentage alone does not mean the current price is a historical low.
Affiliate Relationships and Independence
PriceRadar may earn commissions from certain retailer links when relevant affiliate relationships are active. An affiliate relationship does not mean that a retailer sponsors PriceRadar or controls our evaluation of deals.
Read our Affiliate DisclosureErrors and Expired Deals
Because prices and availability can change quickly, an expired deal, outdated price, or inaccurate information may occasionally appear. When an issue is identified, we may update, disable, or correct the affected deal.
Always Verify With the Retailer
Before purchasing, verify the final price, availability, seller, specifications, shipping, and promotion terms directly with the retailer. The retailer's information at the time of purchase is the final source for the transaction.
Corrections and Reporting Errors
We welcome reports of expired deals, incorrect prices, broken links, or inaccurate product information so that we can review them.
